Goal driven

Our camp's primary goal is to make sure all campers have fun and make friends while improving their water polo skills. Through their dedication and efforts the camp coaches and staff will see that the following goals are attained.

  • To encourage the campers to become the best that they can be, both in and out of the pool.

  • To develop and improve individual and team skills of water polo.

  • Help improve each camper's fundamentals and tactics to help prepare them for high school or college.

  • To help each individual to develop a winning attitude!

2025-2026 CAMP SESSIONS

2025 HOLIDAY
WEEKEND DAY CAMP

December 13 - 14

A 2-day DAY camp with two in-water sessions each day that focus on fundamentals and tactics to help you prepare for high school or college.. On day one there will be an Olympic talk with the Olympians and on day two there will be a recruiting talk iwith the college coaches. Lunch will be provided both days.

June 8 - 11

4-Day Camp

Monday - Thursday

A 4-day camp that will focus on all aspects of the game that will help improve your fundamentals and tactics to help you prepare for high school or college. There will be Olympic talks with Olympians, recruiting talks and a nutrition talk. This camp is very similar to our 5-day ELITE Camp except it has more condensed schedule and does not have a session with the 6-8 Challenge.

Monday - Friday

A 5-day ELITE camp that will focus on all aspects of the game that will help improve your fundamentals and tactics to help you prepare for high school or college. This camp will have a session with the 6-8 Challenge run by 6-8 Sports! There will be Olympic talks with Olympians, recruiting talks and a nutrition talk.

5-Day ELITE Camp

Monday - Friday

A 5-day ELITE camp that will focus on all aspects of the game that will help improve your fundamentals and tactics to help you prepare for high school or college. This camp will have a session with the 6-8 Challenge run by 6-8 Sports! There will be Olympic talks with Olympians, recruiting talks and a nutrition talk.

4-Day Camp

Monday - Thursday

A 4-day camp that will focus on all aspects of the game that will help improve your fundamentals and tactics to help you prepare for high school or college. There will be Olympic talks with Olympians, recruiting talks and a nutrition talk. This camp is very similar to our 5-day ELITE Camp except it has more condensed schedule and does not have a session with the 6-8 Challenge.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

June 13 - 14

This is a 1-night, 2-day camp that will focus on your position and help you improve your fundamentals and tactics of your position with coaches that specialize in your position. This camp will help you focus on improving at your position and prepare you for high school or college. There will be Olympic talks with Olympians and recruiting talks with college coaches.

  • Team Discount – $50 per camper (8 -14 campers per team)

  • Camper Alumni Discount – $50 per camper if attended Malibu Water Polo Camp previously.

  • Requests for family, team or camp alumni discounts must be emailed to malibuh2opolo@gmail.com after completion of the online registration.

  • Pepperdine Faculty Discount – 50% tuition discount

  • Maximum discount (other than Pepperdine Faculty) – $100 per camper

room & board

  • Housing accommodations for Residential overnight campers will be on the Pepperdine campus at the University dormitories. There will only be 2 campers per room.

  • Upon check-in, all campers will receive a key card to get into their dorm rooms. Campers that lose their key cards will be charged a $75 replacement fee.

  • Bedding and Linen set is available for rent for an additional charge of $50. This includes a pillow, sheets, blanket, wash cloths and shower towel. Campers that lose or damage pieces of their rented bedding and linen set will be charged a replacement fee. REQUESTS MUST BE MADE TWO WEEKS BEFORE CAMP STARTS.

  • Food and beverages are provided by the University food service and will be served buffet-style three times a day in the Pepperdine Dining Hall.

  • Snack Shack – Each evening, there will be a “snack shack” at the dorms where the campers can purchase water, Gatorade and other snack items.

  • All campers should bring swim/water polo suits, towels, goggles, sweatshirt, shorts, t-shirts, spending money ($40-$50), daily snacks (non-perishable), personal electronics, bedding (sleeping bag or blankets, and a pillow). *We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please be sure to label all your personal items.

  • Damages – Campers are responsible for items they destroy or break while attending the camp.

  • Roommate requests must be made TWO WEEKS BEFORE CAMP STARTS.

Our camp is open to any and all boys and girls ages 10 – 19 (one year of water polo experience suggested).

CANCELLATION

Your tuition, less a $200 non-refundable administrative fee, will be refunded without question if you cancel more than 30 days prior to your camp session start date, refunds will not be granted to campers who voluntarily leave camp or are sent home for disciplinary reasons.

camp rules

  1. As a participant in the Malibu Water Polo Camp, you are considered a guest of Pepperdine (which is a Christian University), therefore all of your behavior should appropriately reflect this environment.

  2. Campers are expected to be respectful and courteous to all other campers, staff, as well as others on the campus of Pepperdine University.

  3. Absolutely no physical or verbal altercations with fellow campers or staff. Fighting, the use of offensive language or any other inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and the camper’s parents will be notified immediately.

  4.  Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes any intentional written, verbal, or physical act intended to harm another camper.

  5. Stealing will not be tolerated.

  6. Appropriate clothing must be worn at all times.

  7. All apparel may not have inappropriate language or graphics on them.

  8. Campers are expected to walk with a camp counselor or coach at all times during the camp. This  includes trips to and from the pool, dorms, bookstore and cafeteria. 

  9. All campers must sign out with a counselor before leaving with a parent. The campers parents must notify Coach Schroeder or Coach Merrill if the departure is during the camp.

  10. Day campers are to be dropped off at the pool deck and picked up at the pool deck each day.

  11. Lights out means lights out at night. 11:00pm is lights out which means bedtime.  We expect quiet in the dorms after this. No leaving the dorms after Lights out at 11:00pm.

  12. Malibu Water Polo Camp is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

  13. A head counselor will be assigned in each dorm. Each camper will be informed as to what room that counselor is in.  Contact the head counselor with any emergencies, questions or concerns.

  14. Campers who do not abide by the camp rules may be sent home without a refund. 

Cancellation & Camp Rules

check-in & check-out

CHECK-IN

Check-in will begin at 12:30pm on the first day of each session for our 5-Day ELITE Camp, 4-Day Residential Camp and Summer Weekend Overnight Camp. Lunch will not be provided on check-in day. No campers will be assigned to a room before initial check-in time. All sessions are co-ed (boys and girls are housed in separate dorms).

 

2025 & 2026 Holiday & Summer Day Camp Check-in is at 11:00am.

CHECK-OUT

Check out will be at 3:00pm on the last day of each session for or 5-Day ELITE Camp 4-Day Residential Camp and Summer Weekend Overnight Camp. There will be a championship tournament prior to check-out at the Pepperdine University Raleigh Memorial Pool. We encourage all parents to attend and cheer on their athletes. Coach Moses and Coach Schroeder will hold closing ceremonies in the bleachers after the championship tournament, then campers will be dismissed.

Day campers Check-In and Check-Out times will depend on what group your child is in (Blue Group/Orange Group). It will switch off every day between 8:45am and 10:15am Check-In, and 7:30pm and 9:00pm Check-Out. Monday Check-In is 12:30pm and Thursday or Friday (depending on 4-day or 5-day camp). Check-Out is 3:00pm. Same as Overnight Campers.

 

2025 & 2026 Holiday & Summer Weekend Day Camp Check-Out will be immediately after the last water session. Check-in is at 11:00am on Saturday.
